Donruss Americana II

Today I bought a pack of Donruss Americana II. For some reason I thought it was a baseball set, even though John Wayne was on the pack. Afterwards I remembered what it was, but hell here's the cards anyway.



#184 Gloria Stuart. I've heard of her before, but upon a brief search I can see that she is almost a hundred years old (98 to be exact), and she was also nominated for an Oscar for her role in the movie 'Titanic'. Weird start.


Next up is #165 Ed Asner. Ed Asner has been in about 250 movies, shows, etc. His most memorable role was on the Mary Tyler Moore show. That show was on before I was born and I never really cared to watch it. I guess he's a pretty decent actor, but I don't think the kids are clamoring for an Ed Asner rookie card...but who knows.

Remember Sammy Jankis...

Sammy Jankis!!! He is a character from the awesomely amazing movie 'Memento'. He is played by this man, #160 Stephen Tobolowsky. Tobolowsky was also the annoying guy Ned in Groundhog Day. AWESOME!!!



Next up is #107 Goldie Hawn...ugh... The best thing she has ever done was when she stopped making movies in 2002. It's been a wonderful six years!!


AND FINALLY THE GRAND DADDY OF THEM ALL!!!!


GARY FREAKIN' COLEMAN!!!! What else can I say about this man that you haven't already thought. Coleman was almost the governor of California and now I own his ROOKIE CARD!!!!

Extreme sarcasm here in case you didn't know.

Uh...it's a pack of cards alright. I've seen some decent cards of UFC and other fighters from this set but there was nothing of the sort here. If I buy another pack of this stuff I will be more surprised then you.

Final grade: F+
